Becoming A Member

At WARMS we pride ourselves in welcoming new members whether already experienced at model flying or brand new to the hobby.

We offer a number of benefits for members that we believe make WARMS the best RC club in the State.

If you think this might be the club for you then please come down to the field for a look around and chat to the members. We would love to give you a free trial flight and a few weeks training before you decide to join. The best time is on a Saturday morning.

Fees

Please note the early-bird special has now officially finished.

Membership fees cover club costs and state(AWA) plus national (MAAA) body fees. This includes insurance that covers you at any MAAA affiliated field.

Note that the yearly membership period is from July 1 to June 30. Members joining after December pay a reduced pro-rata amount.

Affiliate Members

WARMS welcomes members that have primary membership with another club. You will only need to pay the club fee and joining fee (if necessary) as your AWA/MAAA fees have already been paid.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does WARMS offer a membership for a time period less than one year or on a casual basis?

Unfortunately we are unable to offer this because it would be too difficult to administer and would not match the MAAA membership cycle.

Are holders of a senior's card eligible for the pensioner rate?

To be eligible for the pensioner rate you must be receiving a Centrelink or DVA pension and hold a valid card with a CRN or DVA number.
